THE UNDERGROUND GARDEN
(1980-1987)

Any "aficionado" of undergrowth plants can spend hours in the Jardin du Sous-Bois in several intertwining trails to observe unusual and interesting plants at different times of the year.

 

The undergrowth contains several other plants, some of which are difficult to grow in warmer climates. The most characteristic of these is the Tibetan blue poppy (meconopsis). Of these species, two perennials and several biennials grow in the undergrowth.
