THE POTAGER
(1980)
The path leads there and opens up a view of La Malbaie and the St-Lawrence River. The Vegetable Garden consists of six large terraced beds using square spruce logs. Each terrace has a different configuration conforming to the slope of the land below.
The garden is filled with vegetables, fruits, annuals, and perennials (for picking). A wide path crosses this garden and extends beyond the porte-cochere of the tool shed (the Doodle-Doo-1932). It passes parallel beds of raspberry and asparagus bushes and beds of a small nursery up to a small greenhouse.
This is the end of the visit, and we return to the parking lot.
